The Republic - Plato

The first recognised utopian proposal was Plato's Republic, Plato was a greek philosopher who wrote this piece of socratic dialogue regarding justice. Plato questioned it's true meaning therefore went forward with various models of social economic structures to explore whether or not a just man is happier than an unjust man. These different models included a variety of social regimes and laws in order to conclude the happiness of a just man. It was Plato's conclusion that "justice is preferable to injustice".
